Android OS Go Download

Android Go is the new version of the Android OS that Google is all set to launch for budget smartphones for developing countries. It is targeted for phones with 1GB or less RAM which find it difficult to run the full Android version.

Difference between Regular Android and Android Go

You can use Google Play store in both regular Android version and the lightweight Android O. But in Android O, you will see only those apps that are compatible with lower hardware specifications. These apps will mostly be small in size and will function offline.

For example, in Android Go, you will have the YouTube app but you can preview the video frames and select which quality you want to view the video in. You will also be able to download the videos for viewing offline, absolutely free.

Also, you can monitor how much data you are using in the Notifications panel itself, and not have to go to Settings.

Android Go Release Date

Google has not yet announced a specific date but has said that it will launch Android Go in the year 2018. Android Go OS download will soon be possible for users.
